High Relief on Obverse and Reverse!
-
Glas Enamel Technique and Chromonite Colour Application!
-
Only 99 pieces world-wide!

The one-kilo silver coin “Nature in Danger – Great Barrier Reef” was designed by Beni Debacker. His obverse motif highlights the beauty and diversity of the Great Barrier Reef.
In contrast, the reverse shows the threat that pollution poses to life on the reef in very dramatic fashion.
The ultra-high relief technique gives the motif a three-dimensional character.
The lifelike vibrancy is achieved through a unique combination of vivid colouring and glass enamel – a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship in a limited issue of just 99 coins.
